Bank charges refused

I received a letter today saying on the 25th nov 09 the supreme court said that the level of unarranged overdraft charges is not assess able for fairness this means banks won their appeal

This was from the ombudsman I'm guessing I should give up???

You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble to begin with as the ombudsman say that on their website.

So, yes, you should give up.

The only way there might be any possibility of a refund is through FOS using the financial hardship route. Study the criteria for that route on this website and see if it applies. You have to have a very strong case however, and must be able to prove it too. If you qualify you would have to write to the bank again regarding the hardship you were/are in. (if that isn't what you already have done of course) If they say no again and give their final response go to FOS.

    Just a thought.
