Home brew pressure barrel advice?

Bit of a long shot, but I was thinking of buying a pressure barrel for a birthday present very soon. My husband has been talking about one for ages but says he can't justify spending money on one at the moment. I haven't got a clue what to buy or what to look for. Any recommendations? Thanks

Pressure barrels are usually made of thick plastic that can hold beer under pressure.
The pressure is either added artificially by a CO2 cannister or by the beer doing a secondary fermentation in the barrel.
