Sometimes, when I edit a post, it says at the bottom

Last edited by zenmaster : Yesterday at xx:xx PM.

and sometimes it doesn't.

Why is this?

If you edit immediately after you have posted & repost, it doesn't say this
(maybe within a minute)

If you edit few minutes later or just later on, I think it will say it has been edited.

I think it's a timing thing.

If you want a clean post without "Edited xxxx" you can delete message & repost.

Ps: I edited this post numerous times very quickly.
Edited message did not appear.

After maybe a minute & editing, Edited message appeared.

Makes sense, though I am sure I have edited a post after some considerable time and not seen it.

I shall pay more attention in future.
