I really don't understand why so many people are not only happy and willing to pay their monthly dues to the Banking Industry, but are actually quite aggressive in defending the rights of the Banks to demand such dues

What colour is the sky in your world? Are you a bit simple or something? You constantly come up with these nonsense throw-away posts which have little semblance to the real world.
Like ILW, I havent paid any 'monthly dues' to the Banking Industry for decades. Why would I? On the contrary, they pay me.

Yet again, the wise men of Europe have come up with another scheme to support the banks, and insulate them from risk
When will they remind the banks that their true function is to support and facilitate the economies of the countries in which they operate? The banks seem to pay massive bonuses either way.... where else on the planet does that happen?
We all pay monthly dues to the Banking Industry as we continue to contribute to cost of supporting all the businesses and individuals which continue to fail as a result of the cost of funding the billions of bailout money which the banks continue to enjoy

Thats where you have got it all wrong. A banks true function is to make money for it's shareholders, just like any other business.0 -

Most businesses simply contribute to the economy, but banks actually control the economy - there is no similarity between the two
Retail Banking is a small, historical, part of banking activity
