Hello newby here
My Father in law has an automatic suzuki
6 Weeks ago he had a problem with the gearbox so he took it to a garage recommended to him, they put had the car 3 weeks put a new gearbox in it charged him £1700, he collected the car and the gearbox packed up 15 miles away from the garage, when he phoned the garage they collected the car from his house and offered to repair FOC which they did again they had the car 3 weeks he got the car back Saturday morning he has done 45 miles in it and once again the gearbox has packed up tonight this time he has had to pay a recovery company to recover his car to my house
2 questions
A-- Where does he stand with getting the recovery money refunded by the garage
B-- More importantly he is dis-abled and cant do without the car for another length of time especially this time of year he has family he wants to visit
Was wondering if any one can advise

Why did it take them 3 weeks to replace the gearbox? Was it a new box or a reconditioned one
or a 2nd hand one?
Whats wrong with it exactly? Automatic Suzuki what? year, model, engine?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Supposedly a new gearbox, its a Sukuzi alto 09 plate and they had to wait for parts
He contacted ther garage yesterday they have reimbursed the recovery fee and they are hoping to get the gearbox repaired and back to him for thursday0 -
Suzukis come with a 3 year warranty. Being an 09 plate it should still have a year or there abouts. Unless it's accident damaged?
He's obviously not making enough noise. That is unacceptable! Should take a few days. Also I wouldnt let them take my car without giving me a courtesy car.0 -
The Suzuki UK site isnt loading but if it is still under warranty then why didn't he take it to the main agent? Would probably have saved him the £1700...0
