What's everyone got in mind for Valentines Day?

Hello Everyone,

I know it may be a little early to start thinking about it but as they say 'early bird gets the worm'.

Has anyone had any thought on ideas for valentines day?

I know the usual is flowers or chocolates but I was thinking of doing something different in 2012 but not sure yet what??

Anyone thought of anything a bit different?

Cheers

Stinky Pete

I'm planning a weekend away, Leeds maybe in a Mal maison hotel. We were engaged in one of their hotels last October & married just after in the Feb even though we had been together over 7 years.:)

  • Very nice although sounds very expensive as well but I guess you cant put a price on love (sappy i know). Mal Masion hotel's are very nice, that gives me an idea for hotel du vin near where I live.

The one in Newcastle is lovely. Never stayed in any other of there's(du vins).
Do you have a budget? As a lovely bubbly picnic as a surprise at lunch time would melt my heart also.
We care about the thought behind it not a price :)

  • To be honest I was thinking roses delivered to work, dinner at hotel du vin, then maybe some nice drinks in a a few bars near by.

Nope, same as normal, no card, or anything else on the day, maybe some nice flowers the weekend before.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
  • Thinking about jumping on the Eurostar but not to Paris as will be too expensive but maybe brussells(sp?) for the weekend.

Uh man that's cold as ice (But if I could get away with it I would ;))
  • We've no plans for Valentine's Day yet - I think we'll probably just go out for dinner somewhere but that's the extent of it.

I'd go for Bruges rather than Brussels myself - you won't need more than about three days but it's very pretty to look at with lots of nice art galleries and museums, and you can go on the horse-drawn carriages and canal cruises as well (although it's equally easy to walk round). Not a place for vegetarians though!

    Please don't laugh..
I have bought my son and his girlfriend open tickets to a banquet at Warwick Castle as a Xmas present.
These tickets can be used at any time over the next 12 months for any of 3 themed banquets.
I am throwing HUGE hints at OH to buy us tickets for February ...but he has become selectively deaf ..
Box of Thorntons for me again and a BOGOF bunch of flowers from Morrisons.

Will be on our last full day at the Ramada Liberty Hotel in Skanes.
After 24 days of lovely inexpensive Tunisian grub we'll be wobbling.
