Police reprimands - can they be removed?

  • i have a conviction under Section 5 for telling someone to eff off in 1989. It still comes up on an enhanced CRB check even though it was spent 17 years ago and excluded under statute of limitations 16 years ago.
  • I have a reprimand from when I was 14 and that still shows on my CRB checks and I have to go through the embarrassment of explaining it every time - I too thought it would be spent at age 18 or within 5 years, and I'm sure that's what I was told at the time.
  • Good job we don't live in a police state.
