Saint Helens store has started their clearance.
I got 2 men's shirts for £3 each; yellow stickers.
Scrap books were down to £3.
I thought that the Christmas stuff was still a bit expensive; but there again it wasn't cheap to start with!

Did you asked them whether or not it will end this week?

Was in my TKMaxx today and American Crafts Scrapbook Kits - 12x12 cloth post album with 10 page protectors, 20 papers, 100 letter stickers, accents stickers, chipboard shapes were down to £3!!!! :jWere originally £12.99 I think!!!!
Will make super Christmas pressies for my scrap mad friends!!!;)

I'm curious if the scrapbooks get reduced further, as some mentioned daily reductions? Will they be a pound each, anyone know?

I just want to know when they will be reducing daily.
  • I went to the TK Maxx in Canterbury. Yes, there were yellow stickers on things, but the woman I spoke to said that they won't be going down daily until next week. Also, the yellow stickered items were still in their own departments. When I have been there before and it has gone down to the final week, when it goes down daily, all of the stock was moved into one area. She seemed to know what she was talking about, when she said that it goes down daily in the last week of January. However, that might just be my one.

I just don't want to miss it. The nearest tk maxx is 11 miles from me. I can't go there every day because the petrol isn't cheap anymore so want to pick up the best day for a shopping hunt.
  • seems to be store specific,as i asked instore yesterday was this the week that items get reduced daily and assistant said yes it started on sunday and items would be discounted each day,i managed to get some childrens books from 70p-£1,has red stickered price with yellow price over the top, most of the kids clothing i bought was £2-3,and also some lingerie, bras and pants £1-3

i do think this sale will get reduced to bits but then there will only be scraps left on saturday (last day)
been last year it was fab. this year the sale is alright but nothing to shout at

i do saw a dolce and gabbana bag reduced from £669 to £139, lots of 7 jeans to a fiver

also tons of toys i got megabloks for a fiver , tikes bubble mower for £7,

i saw disney princess kitchen reduced to £10, diesel trainers to a tenner, lots of jackets

get there if you can ! x
  • There were lots of toys in ours, but still not that cheap. I think it is because there have been so many good reductions elsewhere, that I expect things to be dirt cheap before I buy. None of the jeans were under £10 in ours and a lot of stuff was only about a pound cheaper than the red sticker. Last year, the final clearance week saw things go down to £1 or £2. If anyone is unsure, maybe ring up your local store and ask. Can't hurt.

What should I ask them for? How high is the prices of yellow stickers? They only said to me that it has started. It's seems that it's a big secret to them. I dont really want to make another trip.

I don't think any store will give you precise answers about prices and stock because it changes daily and the situation is different at different stores. You really do have to just go and have a look at clearance time.

I popped into my local TKMaxx today and there wasn't a huge amount of interest to me, but I picked up a Dartington crystal water jug for £6 (retails at £59 full price) so I was very pleased. I don't think I would bother going back to see if there were further reductions later on because the clearance shelves are already very scrappy. The other non-sale shelves are a bit bare too because they are only just filling them with new lines, so it is a funny in-between time to shop. Might pop into a HomeSense tomorrow though to see if there are any more household bits.
