  • you should have springs replaced in pairs other wise you could have a 8yr old spring on one side and a brand new one on the other side . not very good for the handling or braking of the car.

    Unfortunately you can take the same car to five different garages for mot, and would probably have five completely different results.
    Mot testers are human, and although the standards asked of them from vosa is the same, they each have there different levels of acceptable!
    An mot is a minimum safety standard it does not mean the car is any good!
    Also the bill from other garage sounds steep but if they didn't make a profit they wouldn't be there!
