First time for Gas and Electric
Options
Hi all
Just discovered this place and hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Basically I am looking at moving in to a 1 bedroom flat in the next week or so, it has gas central heating and I am wondering who is the best company to sign up to in terms of price for both gas and elec, I am on quite a tight budget so price is the most important factor for me.
The flat will be empty all day and also I will only be spending 5 nights a week there as I will be away for 2. How much do people think I can expect to spend.
Thanks for any advice
Steve

Can anyone who is in a one-bed flat give advice on this?
Ours is elec only and is a two bed and is totally out of proportion to what most people pay (it's way too much) so I won't scare you!
if you have a guess on how much per month on gas and elec then if you put these estimates in on uswitch or similar website, they will give you an idea of which suppiers are cheapest.
It does depend on what the split between gas and elec is in terms of your total usage.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
IIRC, I was paying about £15/month for gas a year ago and £20/month for electricity. That was for a 2-bed flat. Prices have obviously gone up since then. I'd suggest running a few different figures through the comparison sites to see who comes out consistently cheapest.0
