Re-delivery didn't arrive - do they just attempt again next working day?

We had a card through the door from Royal Mail last week. Parcel was too big for letterbox. I immediately ordered a re-delivery for yesterday and stayed in all day waiting. It never arrived.
So do they simply re-attempt on the next delivery day or give up and wait for customer to contact them?

did you book the re delivery via phone or online ? Ive had a failed re delivery via online and when i went to pick it up i was told the manager doesn't check his emails so i always phone now.they wont try to deliver again you will have to either re arrange or pick it up from the sorting office.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. i did a rebook online and guess what they did, on the day of the rebook they just returned to sender.0 -
It was booked online. I hope I still have the card - at this time of year there's a lot of paper about and it might've got chucked.

well its a poor manager
redeliveries aren't emailed
they update on the CLEO system and should be checked and actioned every day with a resolution for each request.
the CLEO system also includes the complaints framework so it should be part of a managers daily checks anyway.0 -
