Lost rail tickets
My mother is 84 years of age and live 250 miles away. I arranged rail travel for her to bring her to my house for Christmas.
This travel included return tickets, seat reservations and travel assistance for the entire journey, which includes a train change at Inverness.
My mother has since lost the tickets but still has all the reservations, assistance documents and proof of purchase.
I contacted scotrail to ask if they would issue replacement tickets but they say no. I have to buy new tickets.
I understand the tickets were open for five days and they are concerned about fraudulent use of tickets, but surely with all the other documentation I have, I must have some recompence.
Can anyone give any advice?:(

Are you/is she sure the tickets are lost? It seems odd that everything else is still there.
If they can't be found then buying fresh tickets is the only solution. You've lost the value of the originals.0 -
I agree- it seems odd just to lose the tickets if the reservations etc are still there. They would have been kept together surely? Is your mother getting a bit confused with all the similar bits of card, or is she still very sharp?0
