    OP have you got anyone you could add as a named driver? that could bring your quote down.

    +1 on this. I still do this on mine even though I'm 31 with 9 years NCB. My other half's father who is a retired police officer reduces the premium by over £500 even though he never drives the car. Entirely legal and worth playing around with quotes for.

    DO NOT have them as the policyholder and you as a named driver however, this is called fronting and is illegal and you will uninsured should you have an accident.

    Best buy credit cards for 0% on purchases are Halifax, Sainsbury's and M&S off the top of my head.

    ...if they are older with experience, clean history, no claims/convictions etc.
    It's kind of obvious but it does depend on the history/age/gender of the person concerned.

    Natwest offered me a £1900 limit recently and it was my first credit card with 0% on purchases for 13 months
    Do you bank with Natwest? If you do there's a lot of internal credit history.
