Bank charges reclaim success- Santander

Hi all
Just wanted to share with you all a small success story on bank charges.
I had been following the bank charges reclaims with interest until last year when the High court blocked any further reclaiming and pretty much forgot about it, however have found in the last few months that I have begun inucrring charges of £25 per time again.
I went through all of the charges and worked out any which seemed to be disproportionate, mainly any charges which were for amounts of £15 or less. I found I had £250 worth of these alone, some for .69p for my I phone apps!!!!
I then did the same for my partners account, and his totalled £275 dating back over a year ago.
I wrote to Santander, and after a few days gave them a call to chase their decision. Best phone call I made- they went through all my charges and there and then offered me £150 plus waiving the charges of £90 due this month. I asked how this was calculated as if they agreed the charges were disproportionate then I should have the full amount back, to which she went off the line, checked with her supervisor and came back 2 minutes later agreeing to pay the full £250 plus waiving this months charges, a total of £340 saved!!! :j
My partner did the same the following day and he got £195 of his refunded- obviously wasn't as cheeky as me!! :rotfl:
A nice little total of £535 for 2 phone calls, and it was in my account within the hour!!! Lovely little christmas present!!!
Please please please do the same if you feel any of your charges are disproportionate, it might not be a success but its worth the try!!! All thanks to MSE it is a very lovely Christmas now :T:T:T
Any questions, feel free to PM me.
