:money: Beware the bitter after taste! :money::mad:

I took up the offer to try the Chocolate Tasting Club & I sincerely regret it. There is no means of cancelling online and i was sent chocolates after I ended my membership. I was refunded for the £18.95 which shouldn't have been billed but even after receiving emailed confirmation of my cancellation, I have received a membership package and more chocolates in todays post but have been assured that it is due to a overlap & my membership is indeed cancelled.. fingers crossed!

  • I signed up - cancelled online and have had no problems as have many 10's of people who posted the offer deal thread

Sorry to hear you have been unlucky but sounds like a one off
  • I have a email that acknowledges their failure in enabling me to cancel online. Glad you're 1 of the lucky "10's" who are not still receiving chocolates and invoices after cancelling their membership.

What offer was that? I've been with them for a couple of years and they've always been great (which I guess is why I haven't cancelled, but have set my deliveries to be once every 6 months).
  • I did it once last year for a cheap box. Went online to cancel and found that I had to phone. Never got round to phoning and so I full price box landed a few months later. Never paid for it. They sent a couple of reminders and that was it. Not heard a peep from them in over a year now.

That is one way to cancel them! :D

Probably the reason for T&Cs saying Hotel Chocolat will reject "addresses where it has identified itself or through third parties that delivery problems have occurred previously" and so they must have a recipricol arrangement populating this backlist database.
Good luck with online shopping in the future!
