I have just posted the Scotsman (newspaper)'s Fantasy Golf comp. It runs until November but scores are accumulated from 5th April (so entering in November would be largely pointless as far as I can see). There are also prizes for the highest scoring team of each month.

For now I've posted it with an end date of 5th April to give people a chance to get in on the ground floor. (Posted here for anyone who's interested).

Firstly - is this the right way to post it for now? And secondly - what should I do after 5th April?

Stupid complicated competition :p (and soooo not my kind of prizes, so I'm not even entering it myself!)

These type of comps are always a problem. Changing the end date is OK as long as you remember to do it - but I would go straight to 25/11 on 05/04 (there is an obscure technical reason where titles can not be changed properly after about 10 weeks, so changing it each month would be problematic)

I would have posted on the main board as you have done, but I would have popped a link into the ONCE ONLY & EARLY thread (which is the correct place) and also the daily index thread (which is not strictly correct). End date compers should then see it in one of these two places early enough to enter at the start - and I could then have posted on the main board with "E: 25/11 ENTER EARLY Win...." in the title.

OK guys, thinking caps on please. Its a "relatively" small cash amount (£1500) but, not being melodramatic, for the purpose it would be used would actually truely be life-changing so...what's the secret sound please?

Thanks one-eye. I've put a link on the "once only" thread & a note in my calendar to change the end date on 5/4. Hopefully that will cover it.

None! when you have the best the rest aren't worth bothering about! ( you could look at competwition.com ) If its not posted here by the specatcularly altruistic community we have then its probably not worth posting.
    Last win 2013!! Oh well.

Many thanks to our wonderful posters and apologies to the mods for all the postings I've made which then turned out that I've been pipped at the post.
