    *Top Tip*

    Finding competitions by end date:

    Click on -

    Search this forum
    Then advanced search
Search by Keyword box - Enter date - 26/12
Drop down box - Search Titles only
Remove the tick "Also search in child forums" box (this means you ignore Game Over, IWIWIW and Regulars)
    Then click - Search now

Shows a list of the competitions ending on that date, without all the other posts, much better!

    ____________________________________________________________________________

Note; this only works if search results is less than 300, end of the month dates may be more
As explained by One-Eye, see post #55

If the figure shows less than 300 then you have found them all, but on the last day of the month there are many more than 300 so it doesn't work very well.

    Thanks

I could never figure out the 'official' way, always seems to bring up a lot of superfluous posts:o

Technically correct, but using search is flawed as it will only ever return a maximum of 300 results:-

    400244047.jpg

If the figure shows less than 300 then you have found them all, but on the last day of the month there are many more than 300 so it doesn't work very well.

The following can help if using advanced search for this:-

    1) Always remove the tick from "Also search in child forums" (this means you ignore Game Over, IWIWIW and Regulars)

    2) Split the search up into two by using "Find threads with"
    a) At least 1 replies
    then repeat with
    b) At most 0 replies

but even all this is no good for the last day of a month.
If you use this button (save the link in your favourites/bookmarks):-

then at the time of posting this, the E: 31/12 start on page 1 and go on to page 58 - meaning there are over 1150 of them.

Still going to use your tip - if I find 300, at least I will feel I am getting somewhere:o

When I feel confident, I will have another crack at the 'official' way:D

10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I am looking to upgrade my PC shortly & will update FireFox at the same time.I am currently using a paid version of Roboform that I have had for a few years. It was a once only payment.
This appears not to work on the latest version of FF.I currently use version 3 to work around this.
I also use Robo on a USB stick, this being a free version.
Am I right in thinking that if I buy the new version of Roboform Everywhere here I could use it on all devices, including USBs but will have to pay a yearly fee?
Does this new Everywhere work as well?

    Good evening, everybody:D

I rarely venture on here but have been advised that this is where the possibility of a 2012 Challenge should be mooted:o

My efforts have already caused some turbulence here

The most popular suggestions have been:
    • Win £2012 in 2012
    • Win 12 in 2012 (i.e particular prize each month)
    • Win Gold, Silver & Bronze (choose a prize to fit each category)
    • Win 20 in 2012
Some of us have decided to combine two of the smaller option (I have already put the details in my sig) but this is a fairly informal matter we have decided on ourselves.

    So:
    1. Do we want a challenge
    2. If we do, how do we decide which?
    3. It is OK for me to run it?
    4. Does anyone else want to run one?
    Thanks for listening

    Goodnight, folks:cool:
