Sun dried tomato and parmesan goes down well here and so does HM seeded bread with a mixture of sunflower, pumpkin, poppy and sesame seeds.

You could make pitta breads, tortillas, pizza, foccacia, fruit buns, challah (Honey bread) walnut bread or iced fingers the list is endless

Have a look at this thread - it is great and has lots of recipes.
I can heartily recommend the apple braid my DH loves it :D

Another nice sweet one is banana and raisin, which I made a while ago to use up an over-ripe banana and turned out to be delicious. I used the raisin bread recipe from the booklet that came with my BM - it's just a standard raisin bread recipe, I think, but I can put it on here if anyone's interested (and if I'm allowed?) - and replaced the oil and some of the sugar in the recipe with mashed banana. It was lovely toasted with butter.

On the savoury front, olives are very tasty, as is pesto - as long as you don't object to eating green bread. ;)

The caramelised onion bread sounds lovely, Pink - I'll be trying that one soon! :)
Back after a very long break!

I like chopped black olives in mine with the butter/fat replaced with olive oil. Sundried tomatoes and olive oil is nice too, you could grate a little parmesan on top too if you keep an eye on the timing.

Oh I need to catch on some epsiodes of Lorraine, I'll look out for that thank you. I generally cook a ham once a month so that might be a good way to use up the little bits left :)

Just came back from a father son camp with the scouts.

They got a bowl of flour each, mixed it with water to make a paste. Rolled the resulting gloop into sausage shapes, twisted the sausage shapes around a green twig stripped of bark and heated the resulting twist over an open fire.

Strangely it tasted good. They said they sometimes add sugar, salt or herbs to alter the taste.

I've not seen this thread before. Very occasionally i'll make bread by hand, normally just use the Panny. But there're are some really tasty sounding ideas i'll have a go at here.
