I had a problem with Mozilla crashing yesterday, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it today. When I start it up, it does not open and crashes. Please can someone help. THe message states:

Have you tried opening FF in safe mode, i.e without any add ons?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the shift key while starting Firefox.

The only thing I'd suggest is to uninstall it again,

Then run a registry issues programme on something like ccleaner to remove the last traces.

Then download and install the latest British English version which is 8.0.1.

Thanks Penrhyn. Tried that, it didn't work. I'll try reinstalling again for the second time and see if that works.

Edit: No got same error message the second time .

Try creating a new profile ... more info here ... http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles ..

If you need to save your bookmarks , you could install Mozbackup and use this to import them from the old profile to the new one!
