Need help before signing up with a utility
I'm in need of advise before signing up for electricity\gas. In the process of moving into a new house after selling our old house in March (Been living with the parents for the last 8 months).
Found a deal via USwitch for a Medium energy usage with nPower (Sign Online 24) which seemed best suited to us.
However want to use Quidco to get the cashback. However when you go through to the nPower sign up page its asking me to provide the estimated reading of my electricity and gas. As I've been living with the folks who foot the current bills, was wondering what to do here.....
Do I put in my old reading from sold house or guestimate a reading to get a quote???
Also don't know if I'll get the same price quoted this way as what was given to me on uSwitch.
Any advise for energy first time switcher.:(

I think (and someone may correct me) you normally sign on temporarily with whichever supplier is currently billing the property you are moving in to. Only at that point will you be able to switch. Meanwhile can you ask the current occupiers what their average bills are?Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0
