non payers can eb frustrating

I was running along quite nicely and suddenly now find myself with 4 potential non payers from Tuesday, all with items that are likely to be wanted for Christmas.
The thing that baffles me though is that 3 of them have continued to buy since they bought my item and have feedback mentioning fast payment. So I will open an NPB on them all tonight and I suppsose worse case scenario is that they all pay and opt for 2nd class post and all contact me Tuesday moaning their items haven't arrived.
I just don't understand why people buy and choose to pay for some items and not for others- weird

I thought I had carefully worked out my last listing day, but hadn't properly considered non-payers. So I now have one who has 'bought' something I'm sure is for Christmas, and who now has until Monday evening to pay. Like your buyers, she's been buying and getting FB as a quick payer since she bought from me.
I guess she'll pay with half an hour to go, then wonder why it hasn't arrived on Tuesday.
As you say, baffling.0 -

I've opened 3 cases so far and two people have already paid- not a word of apology or any excuse for being so late.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. so often the way, a dispute opens and they go 'oh sh*t, I might lose my account'. I think that a lot of people don't even realise that a seller can open a non-payment case.0

I've closed my ebay shop over Xmas as can't be bothered with the hassle of NPB's and people expecting unrealistic delivery times when using 2nd class post! As you said, I really can't understand why some people bid on things and then leave it until the last minute to pay. Luckily, as I'm quite new to ebay I've only ever had it once, and also with a buyer that had 100% feedback saying that they were a fast payer...
Hope everyone pays up for you.0 -
Reckon I'll put my Amazon shop 'on vacation' tonight, then open on Crimbo and hope peeps have received vouchers for pressies0

I had 3 as well - one paid after the 4 day nudge with no explanation, and one said she was sure she had 'gone through the payment process so would I refund the second payment she was now going to have to make'. I then did get her payment (once).0 -
Just from a buyer's pov - I have twice now clicked 'pay all' and paid for several items at the same time through paypal, only later to find that one of the items on the list was still left unpaid.
I think it possibly happens when there is a choice - ie, 1st or 2nd class postage.
Now I watch out for it, but it is easy to not realise that this has happened, so it might be worth a friendly follow up e-mail, seeing as posting time is tight for christmas.I'm a retired employment solicitor. I seem to attract NPBs like the plague. I sell vehicles and automotive stuff, plenty of people bid on a car and then never communicate once they have won.
I have just picked up another one, will have to re-list tomorrow
