  • Thanks for your kind words.

Well its Monday and where has the weekend gone, i have mainly caught up on housework this weekend, found my dining table under all the guff that was on it, why oh why does everthing get dumped there:mad:. Lots of washing hung outside and dried this weekend:j.

Not much to update really, spends for the weekend £25 for DD horse riding and only made £2.96 on ebay:(.

Today I need to put petrol in the car and buy some crisps for lunch boxes.

Better get ready for work, don't want to go:(.

  • Good morning, its another bright and sunny one and i have hung the washing out :D.

Yesterday was another busy day at work, but i'm not enjoying it any more, maybe i'm just ready for half term or maybe its time to start loking for something new.

Postie brought me some more clubcard vouchers yesterday, so thats another £1.50 to add to the pot and also recieved a £20 sainsburys voucher, going to need that this week as i currently have £11 in my bank account and don't get paid until next Thursday:eek:.

Yesterday i spent £2 in Tesco on crisps for pack ups and £12 on Petrol, i also sent payment to barclaycard £188.

Everything else in the household is good, hubby is working hard it is a busy time of year for him cows calving and silage to get in, the children are happy especially now there is some nice weather, all they want to do is play outside and eat ice pops, oh how i wish i was 9 again
    :rotfl:.

Ive had such a busy week, it was my birthday on tuesday so went to a chinese buffet restaurant with my mum and baby which was nice, been trying to catch up on the washing whilst the weather is good. Today I need to go shopping at @ldi, go to b & q for fence and decking paint, argos for a BBQ and parasol for baby's pram, also town for meat from market and when all that is done go to work, oh the joys haha

We have also decided to sell our car and get something cheaper on insurance the renewal came through yesterday £140 a month eek!!!! so the car is going monday, it will mean we will be able to still have a nice car bit a bit of money in the bank for lifes emergences

Hope everyone has a lovely day and a great weekend :) xx

  • Morning bella, sounds as though you have had a lovely week, to the car insurance i don't blame you for changing your car.

Weather is beautiful again here, have been up since 5.30am, woke up could hear the birds chirping and the sun was streaming in so thought i would get up and get some jobs done, washing is hung out and second load is now in the WM, so that should be done in time for me to hang out before school run/work, DW is on, Guinea pigs are out in their run in the garden happily munching on fresh grass and a few dandi leaves, if my neighbours were up early they would have thought i was mad scavaging under the back hedge in my PJ looking for dandilion leaves:rotfl:.

Have done next months budget and as i thought its going to be tight, have done a Tesco order for the weekend, used quite a few money off vouchers and a £3 off £20 code which covered some of the delivery, will come in around £50, trying to stick to around £50 a week, its tight but doable if we are careful.
Have paid £35 of Halifax card this week and recieved a £3 mysurvey payment.

Really trying to remain positive about money and focus on the little things i am doing to save and make more as its the only way i can remain upbeat, i keep telling myself that the little things do matter and do add up.

Took a Top back to N£xt yesterday i bought it online before i went on holiday, didn't like it but forgot to send it back and it was too late when i had returned:o, so went in yesterday with it and said it had been a present, so they let me exchange it, so now i have a pair of trousers that i like and fit, they were also the same price as the top, i know its not exactly money saving but in the past i would have stuck it on ebay and got a quarter of the price back, at least i have something i can wear;).

Right off to see if the washer has finished yet.
  • Good morning, i feel in such a happy mood, sure its the weather thats making me feel good.

Mr T has been and delivered my order and OH has put it all away:j, came in at £53.03, so £3.03 over budget, but i don't mind as its been delivered and is now done for the weekend, did forget to order OH bacon for brekkie, told him to have a fried egg buttie instead and to be thankful:rotfl:. Also recieved a free sample of teabags in with my shopping its a box of 10 clipper teabags, nice to get something free from Mr T for a change.

Did the Zoflora comp this morning and have won a bottle of Zoflora:), so thats the second freebie of the day and as they say things come in threes i've got my fingers crossed that maybe the postie will bring me something, well i can dream can't I, or maybe i should go buy a lottery ticket:rotfl:.

No children in the house they stayed at grandmas last night and I had a phone call earlier to say they would take them to the seaside for the day, so they are calling by in the next hour to collect swimwear and spare clothes, also hubby is going out soon to help a mate dig up his back garden as they are having a patio laid, so i'm going to enjoy a quiet day pottering in the garden, doing housework and i might bake some scones and have a cream tea in the garden this afternoon in peace and quiet.

Off to hang out some washing and feed the Guinea pigs.
