Can you get BACs transfers into savings account?

I want to open an egg account online,so that I can get quidco bacs transfers put into it...but am unsure if you can make BACs transfers into a savings account?

"BACS payment

To make a BACS payment to your Egg Savings Account:

• Ask your external bank to transfer money by BACS to your eight digit Egg Savings Account number (if yours only has seven digits, just add a zero at the start). Your external bank will also need to use our sort code, which is 40-61-99.
  This payment takes three to four working days to clear into your Egg Savings Account and will then be available to withdraw. BACS is also a free method of payment."
