Running scripts - probs on Neopets

Have searched the tecchie board and tried a couple of hints regarding "running scripts" problems but am still encountering them on the Neopets site.
Messgage is: "Unterminated string constant"
Do you want to keep running scripts? - answer yes - these messages repeatedly appear -- say no and the site does not function properly [eg new window will not open to play a game in, and you cannot use a "check all" tick box]
Any help for complete tecchie-phobe and way too old for Neopets type!! ;-)
PS In IE tools - options - advanced - I have unticked 'message every time script error' thing!
