That's the subject of a thread on another property forum that is plagued with irrelevant spam and here is one of the better offerings that we have to put up with there:
Today, the innovation of lighting the light is more focused use of materials. Today are using common materials like copper, brass, metal, steel front, pay more attention to the poor quality of material plastic plastics, synthetic materials used. Now people are obsessed with just run out of room. Now, is to open the highlighted part of Home used lamps, chandeliers and sconce s.

It is all done with a link to some website where the website owners have paid for Search Engine Optimisation thinking that somehow this will help their website get higher rankings!

The site's admin are forever trying to deal with the spam but it is getting to be the rule rather than the exception.

In a sub-board about estate agents we have this wonderful offering:
. Throw Absent the Glasses: Go for Laser Eye Surgery
Hi friends... this is karriey... Recently i have under gone the laser eye surgery..

It is important for one to understand the process of laser surgery before having his eyesight correcting procedure.

So i request you guys to clarify this when you go for lasik treatment and ask the surgeon to explain the process including all of its benefits, side-effects and risks.

Be so thankful that spam on MSE is jumped on very quickly!

So if we' should be thankful that MSE jumps on spam so quickly ( and yes most of us probably are thankful) why exactly are you flagging up the content of more spammers posts from another forum? Aren't you just helping their cause by doing so?
  • Good point, well made tbs

I thought it was good for a laugh - and it doesn't help them if there aren't any of their precious links posted. Here's another prize exhibit - on a thread about shared freeholds:
Since publishing i have had further converations. Im getting inconsistent and complicated facts . Aparently the companies expert is saying through the agent( yes i realize this facts need to be believed with caution!) the freeholders examine officially be able to cost for extendable as the perpetual are down as involved with the apartments. And also says if i actually desired be on the sign-up a organization could be set up for everyone to own a discuss in the organization which has the perpetual or more time path of asking area registary to eliminate the name of losing if established efforts to get in touch with him have not. Is this appropriate ? or a lot more challenging than it seems?

I've suggested he learns how to write in English!

To give the rest of us a little light amusement on a freezing cold, grey, wet December night?

    Lighten up!
  • They are hilarious. Sounds like someone has put something in one of those Google translators and that's how it comes out. It reminds me of instructions for a food mixer I once tried to decipher.

I think there's a tenuous link there somewhere between lighting trends ( insufficient?) and laser eye surgery ( need it to enhance lighting?) This fits in with the poor Google translation ( poster couldn't read which language it was in ).
Thanks Richard, it made me smile.

"Sounds like someone has put something in one of those Google translators and that's how it comes out."

one of the most hilarious descriptions like that was in an instruction manual for a Bosch fridge-freezer, with two separate units, one standing on to of the other. On page 8 of the fridge manual it said

""The diligent and intelligent housewife, will, of course, never consider storing her nitro-glycerine in her refridgerator."

i never did work out what they Wanted to say !!!

Which were delivered with an Ikea flat pack wardrobe :D
Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
    Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold";
if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn
  • Now in a General Discussion Board related to Buying and Selling Property we get:

We quite frequently see posters telling us that something is "the most complete explanation of these capabilities...."

Can anyone suggest a rational link between the posts?
