the last time I used an H+M code, it was a nightmare. I'm giving up for a while.

I've not had a problem with H&M, and spent quite a lot of money with them. If I had an email like that from them, I'd probably have a huge problem with them!

What idiots! Surely it's their issue if they don't protect their codes - not yours! Terrible customer service. I would make sure I never shopped there again if I had been threatened like that.

This is the email I recieved after using the code from this thread

"If an item is not available for immediate dispatch, we always want to give our customers the opportunity to reserve it until is is back in stock. However, we are happy to confirm that your parcel will be dispatched within the next few days. All further updates can be found by tracking your order on your 'My H&M' page.
We can also see that you have used a discount code for £5 off your order. This discount is strictly meant to be used as compensation when something has gone wrong with a previous order and we do not have any records of having issued this to you. Please note that you have not been authorised to use this code again in the future or you will risk your account being closed. We kindly appreciate your understanding."

I'm actually pretty disgusted to read that.

If they do not want a code to be used ad hoc, they should take the necessary steps to ensure this, rather than loosely threaten their customers who may be using a code obtained through an internet source in good faith. Codes can clearly be personalised; the one I recieved through M&S was a one-time-use code.

Lets put it this way, there are plenty of companies selling good clothing online at knock-down prices, and we're in a recession. They aren't doing their reputation much good; word does get around via forums such as this.

I've had a nightmare with this company. Ordered a couple of jumpers and a pair of jeans, all stated as in stock,on the 19th October and still waiting!! I rang them, as they were supposed to be a gift for my daughters birthday on 24th November, and they told me the jeans were not in stock and they would not send the rest out due to me using a code, which meant i was just under the minimum spend. Needless to say i asked for the manager who assured me she was authorising the dispatch as we spoke, that was 2 weeks ago!!

They had the cheek to send me a voucher, try to keep me sweet no doubt, what a joke of a company, will never shop here again no matter how cheap they are!
