    Don't think it does have a negative attachment. Not as high a resolution as some dedicated scanners, but will still be able to scan prints for you to then "play" with.

    Is it possible to get stand alone scanner's for the negatives that doesn't cost a fortune?

    Deoends what you call a fortune. I did quite a bit of research before getting my Epson. I think the current model is the V330 Photo, which is under £100 on Amazon.
    Of the three that ended up on my short list (of which price was a major criteria), the Epson was the most expensive but the only one with the negative option, which I subsequently decided could be useful -as it was!
