Hey everyone,

Just had a quote for Windows and Doors and now my heads hurts, was here over an hour.

Is it 9 windows and 2 doors.

Front Door - 870x2000 (+400 for window above door) Cystal window effect and in oak.
BAck Door - 870x2000 (Solid glass with catflao)

Window 1 1100x1600 oak (1 opener like sash) BR
Window 2 900 x 1600 oak (same) BR
Window 3 1100 x 1600 oak (same) DR

All these are white

Window 4 600x800 (all one opener) LANDING
Window 5 400x1000 (Top opener) BATH
Window 6 1000x1600 (2 openers top and bottom) LR
Window 7 1000x1600 ( 1/3 side window opener) KITCHEN
Window 8 1100 x 1200 (2 top openers) BATH
Window 9 1200 x 1600 ( 1 top opener)

All the normal K Glass, and 24mm glass.

Was £11,019 But today price only of £8000

Seems alot, but havent had any other quotes yet to compare it too.

Any advice would be great

another quote this time 28mm and 70mm profile. The same spec for £4000 so half price!
  • About £4-£4.5k is a decent price depending on the amount of make up needed inside & out.

£1,400 doors £1,100 front oak £1,600 white About ?? If your thinking the landing is a fire escape is it easily get outable from the inside (the size of it tells me no !)most d/g/units are 28mm now 4/20/4 & 70mm thick profile so thats standard. Find people who reccommends the company and fitters and even have a look at other installations theyve done. Dunraven are South Wales is that where you are ??? There was some posts on moneysaving local (wales) recently.

Thanks, yeah South Wales. The landing is a small window which you cannot get too really (about 6ft off the floor) so won't be a fire escape really.
  • Well you could do with one and i cant see where it is on your discriptions unless either your kitchen is upstairs or window 9 is a upstairs back bedroom you can split 50/50 with both top and bottom opening (can do window 1 & 2 also whatever is easiest to climb out and down .)
