bleeding during early pregnancy

just want to echo what everyone else has said. I didnt know I was pg with my dd until I was almost 5 months pg because I had a "period" for the first 3 months, and I was on the pill at the time so didn't think I could be pg.
with ds I knew I was pg but still had a bleed each time my period was due, and even though I knew it was possible to bleed and still have a healthy pg it scared the living daylights out of me as I had lost a baby 3 months earlier.
Phone NHS direct and explain whats happend, then get yourself registered with a GP asap.
Good luck and try not to worry too much (stupid thing to say I know)0 -
Hi there. Dont know what the situation is where you live but a lot of the bigger hospitals have Early Pregnancy Assessment Units attached to their midwifery and gynae wards. If you live near a big town/city it may be worth ringing the hospital as you may be able to get direct advice from them as they will have someone on duty at the weekend. NHS Direct get very busy especially on Sundays and you may wait ages for a call back.
Good luck.0 -

hi as silly as this may sound i dont even know where the hospital is thats why im not going today, also im not in any pain, and like i said i had something similar with my son last time except it was a bit earlier on,the bleeding did stop,it diddnt last long and i have no pain with it,if i had pain then id be worried about an etopic pregnancy, but as i have none im sure it will keep till tommorow,i have looked it up on the internet, and it says that there is a bleed called a hormonal bleed which is quite common when the perios wouldbe due, which mines would have,it does trouble me a little bit,but its hard as ive said ive just moved into the area,i dont know where anything is,i know the local hospital is about 7 miles away, and i dont drive,so only option i have really is doctors tommorow.i also foud out today my cousin had exacty the same thing and shes as far gone as me except she had bad tummy pains with it.It`s getting to the point0 -

I'm glad everything's OK, dollop. I had some bleeding when I was pregnant with my DS, and I worried loads at the time too, but the scan showed all was well, and the rest of the pregnancy and birth was fairly straightforward.0
