yes it would, as would pretty much anything
12" is good if portability is a main consideration - small enough to cart around easily, but big enough screen-wise and should have a decent-size keyboard in it rather than a fiddly netbook one

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

'Buffering' is more determined by the speed of your internet connection than the spec of your laptop. Any modern laptop wil run iPlayer etc just fine given a reasonable line speed.
So don't buy a new laptop if that is the only issue! No free lunch, and no free laptop

Do you actually want an ultra-portable? Will you be carrying out and about often?
If not, you should get a normal laptop; as, whilst the netbook/ultra portable may do the job it's a bit on the weak side. Not spectacular on battery performance either.
So consider it only if you actually need an ultra portable.0 -
what have you got now, which OS, how much ram, which security/AV software?!!
