Help with BG complaint

Hi, I will try to cut a long story short.

We were British gas customers and swopped using USwitch last April to NPower. Since then we have been billed by both companies despite the National grid/Transco confirming several times without a doubt that only NPower are entitled to bill us.

The customer service helpline at NPower was great - answered qucikly and they faxed/emailed copies of our paid bills to British Gas.

BG ont he other hand kept wiating for ages every time we called, they hung up on us??, the promised to ring back and never did etc

Got Energywatch involved and it has taken them 4mths to finaly get a result - they asked BG to send a meter inspector round in the end but he never showed.

So 9 long mths later Energwatch finally get a result - BG phone to say sorry they were wrong and have removed all our details from their computers. No letter confirming this yet, can only hope!

We are quite angry tbh - wasted a small fortune on phone calls and I ahve sent many a morning on hold with my 2 yr old crying impateintly at my feet. Should BG be offering us any compensation?

We had a problem with BG when we switched to another supplier. Wrote to the chief executive and received a cheque for "credit" that was left on our account plus a bit extra for our costs and the transfer continued smoothly!

We found it on the BG website, but looking at a glance, they don't seem to have it there anymore :( It was Sir Someone at the time, but has probably changed now - if that helps at all :?
