this made me chuckle - blind dogs?Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -

thanks
They sell them to stamp collectors
Guide Dogs for the Blind are stopping this - 2007 is the last year they will accept collections0 -
I remember trying to get rid of a load of stamps one time and was told that they had to be trimmed a couple of millimetres around the stamp before they would accept them.
Apparently it saves time and money for the charities that receive them. Might be worth snipping before donating.0 -
I think I've heard that RNLI collect them.0

Thankyou so much for all the advice/info and responses, I was glad to also find the 'charities board where I found out, there's loads of ways to give, Im also going to send away a few pairs of specs to poverty stricken areas for recycling as I have been fortunate enough to have laser treatment to correct my shortsightedness xxx Thanks again folks, giving feels as good as receiving xxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. My mum has a box for collecting stamps for Guide Dogs and apparently they like a 1cm border left around the stamp. Didn't know they were finishing them this year, good to know there are other places that want them. It's such an easy thing to do and is good recylcing as well as making money for charities. I must admit if there's an unfranked stamp I have to reuse it myself, can't resist.0
