urgent help - are all brake pads the same??

    In a car anyway, you should get away with a few hundred miles before any serious scoring on the disk, beyond that you may need to budget for brake disks as well as pads, still a much less traumatic experience at home rather than on holiday. Also you want to maximise your use of the engine for slowing down, to cause less wear on the brakes. Slow down as much as possible in gear.
  • Ocallo, where are you roughly? if you are near a mojor city someone on here will probably know someone fairly locall who can help you out - if you have been there a while you know how happy Indian people are to help a friend of a friend :)
