No bids yet on very sellable items

I have put in a seven day auction and I have yet to recieve a bid.... others have bids that were put in later than mine....

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get bids on these?

**Link removed - no personal selling links please. You may describe the problem but not link to your auction. Edited by Abuse Controller **

That is the link for one of them, there are two other auctions with the same problem.

Thanks
Tony

sorry if I'm sounding a bit picky but the only thing I can think of is that you say it comes out of a working machine but maybe need to put it in simple terms that the RAM is tested and working... The only other thing to check is what words the others have in their titles as it could be that people are searching by a certain word and your auction isnt coming up...??

Nearly 4 days left - with many common computers bits the bidding is often very late

also I would list title as something like

512 MB pc memory SAMSUNG 512MB PC133 SDRAM

notice the space between 512 & MB , but then duplicated wthout the space

Try some searches on 512mb and 512 mb to see the difference

There is one thing that stares out at me, your feedback rating. Sorry to be so negative but a lot of buyers won't deal with someone that has a low rating.

I can see that they were left for you when you were buying rather than selling, but i'm not sure that helps. A potential buyer might be put off by a seller that has been a late or NPB in the past, after all it is easier to buy than to sell. Also, if you have 2 NPB strikes against you you only need one more before you lose your account, maybe potential buyers are worried about that?

One other thing, it might be useful to say that the RAM is working. On the basis of 'buyer beware' there is the possibility that the buyers could be wondering whether you are confident that your item is good. If you don;t say it is working they won't have any comeback later if they buy it and it is a dud.

Finally, the better news. Most items don't get bids until the last moment. With three days to go you still have plenty of time.

Yes, the two negatives were over a year ago and they were for a friend of mine who I let bid for something but they never paid for the items... I know it does not state that on the feedback, but hopefully buyers will realise this was over a year ago. Other items I have sold have had positive feedback.

It doesn't matter when the negatives were your feedback score is what buyers will see. Some negs will be discounted by buyers, assuming they bother to look past the actual percentage score, but 2 negs for non payment unfortunately do look bad.

You are also selling a commodity item. I sold quite a few last year. People generally will not look to far through pages of RAM.

I would have assesed my market decided which day looks best and stuck it on a 1 day auction at the time and day I thought maximised my price..

Also your feedback does not look good...that will deter some. Anyway best just to sweat it out.

I sell a lot of stuff on ebay and i have to say that very very very rarely does anyone ever bid on any of my items until the last day of the auction. So, you have plenty of time left. Usually on my items, the bidding starts on the last day and then will rocket up over the last 1hr of the auction.

I'm just about to try the ebay thing, had a look this morning but don't know where to start.
A while ago someone had software that found the misspellings and other mistakes on ebay. I remember seing it on Martins front page (Email) but dont remember how to find it again.
Does anyone know where it is?
