Urgent Help with Ideal Icos HE24 flue please

Options
Hi, our gas boiler broke down and perhaps foolishly we bought a second hand one to replace it. We got an ideal icos HE24 which is three years old and is in good working order.

The problem is, we have paid a corgi (I think it's called something else now but can't recall what) registered engineer to fit it, however we need a longer flue.

Apparently ideal have just upgraded the icos and are only selling parts for the new one. Does anyone know if this is correct and also if it is, where can I get a flue to fit the boiler I have

Any help much appreciated, as we are freezing!

  • Hi.

You have bought a lemon (IMO) 'In good working order':rotfl:
    Sell it back.
    Buy a decent boiler.

Google Ideal Icos/Isar and see what you get.

    GSR.
Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)
