What a past few days, Having been told I could use gift cards online i went to place a order for a all in one printer great price £63. Had to call 0871 number to use them, I was on hold most of the morning trying to get through (great way for them to make money) When i do get through i was told by a adviser and manager that they did not take gift cards!

Not happy about this i sent a emessage off and i got a nice reply, Then i got a phone call and the guy said that they did indeed accept gift cards so i did the order there. I feel angry that i have been mucked about so i asked if i could complain about being told wrong information etc. I get put through to customer service and log my complaint the guy says they would call back the next day. Well no phone call.

Today i sent a emessage off again (don't see why I should keep calling 0871 numbers) the person then asked what they can do etc spent 1 hour exchanging message only to be told that she cant deal with it!.

Well i ring head office up and log another complaint and today i get a phone call from the department that is dealing with this. They are now looking into the complaint.

I am looking to get back the cost of my phone bill and some good will because of time wasted. I feel that this could have been all sorted in one phone if there staff knew there jobs!

As anyone had dealings with Debenhams plus and if so what can i except?

Will update the result.

  • After a few promises of returning my call and not, I rang back and got through. Was told they could not do any cash back to cover the calls as they only made £5 on the item. Instead they sent me a coloured ink worth £18 by courier. Will come in very handy for all the coupons i will be printing off :) What i have noticed is when i brought the printer it was £63 and the cables were £10 each (never needed them) but now the printer is £66 and cables are £8 each lol.

Horrified by the service at Debenhams Plus. Sales staff that quite clearly can't be bothered, they sent my item out a month early to the wrong address (I'm moving house in a month) then couldn't tell me where the item had ended up! So I have no idea where the item (a TV) is, if it's been signed for by someone else and I've lost it, or if it's been sent back to the depot. When I called I got a snarky sales assistant who sniggered over this, then said it wasn't really his problem.

I can't get any of their team to call me back, every time I call them it rings out or cuts off, and they take days to reply to emails.

My advice - avoid Debenhams Plus at all costs! Debenhams should also dissociate themselves, as they actually are a decent company.
