    I am so pleased that I said my wife was an OAP. That statement has produced almost as much comment as my question. I shall refrain from giving my reason in the hope that this thread can continue into next year with all the speculation. :D

    OAP's are more stereotypically likely to take care of their goods? Was it just her birthday the other week and you're teasing her by referring to her as a OAP? Does it perhaps relate to the fact that she may have no claim for travelling expenses to return a faulty product due to having a bus pass (sorry i apologise for that one but i had to try!).

    I would go on and on, but my list of possibilities would only get weirder as the list went on :D
