Item bought on internet did not arrive

Hi all,

I purchased perfume on the net on 20th November and was 'guarenteed' a 5-7 business day delivery. On 25th I received an e mail confirming it had been dispatched. On December 8th it had not arrived yet so I phoned the company. They were quick to disregard the original e mail they sent confirming the dispatch saying that due to it being Christmas they were taking longer to get products out and that It would arrive on December 15th. It has not arrived and they are no longer answering phone calls. I have e mailed them today reminding them that if the item does not arrive within 30 days they have a legal obligation to refund me. Is there anything else I can do? I paid by debit card and used Google checkout to process the transaction, I have e mailed them as well but not heard back yet.

    The problem is google checkouts buyer protection is non existent. If they refuse to refund you can try a chargeback on your debit card visa and maestro (maestro since november) they may though count google checkout as a third party and could refuse.

    OP, why don't you just cancel the order under Distance Selling Regulations?

    The seller must refund all monies paid, including delivery charges, as soon as possible and certainly within 30 days.

    yes whats the company/website.

    If they are dropshiping then 9/10 they will be using fragrance x who are the biggest dropshipper of genuine purfume , but these are in the USA. when i ran my purfume site using these to dropship i know that from nov. their was always a slight delay in deliveries usually just a weeks delay, so i used to order a load of popular purfumes in sept/oct. and store these off so that i could sent these much quicker
