Tesco computer keyboard worn

I bought an admittedly "value" tesco keyboard for about a fiver in September and many of the letters on the keyboard have simply worn away with use. It was less than a fiver so would I be wrong to take it back and complain? I'm not troubled by it as I type without looking at the keys much of the time but the family do

Hmmm not sure what grounds you could take it back on.
Satisfactory quality? But then you get what you pay for.
If it makes you feel any better i've had a £100 keyboard that did the same! But like you, I look at the screen when i'm typingNow, if i can only read what i type all the time instead of getting distracted and reading another page, maybe i can fix some of my typos
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
You would surely expect it to last more than a couple of months - I don't know if I would take it back but your well within your rights to take it back. Doesn't matter how much you paid for it, you should expect it to last a reasonable amount of time.0

The keyboard works? Its not faulty, its only the looks of the keyboard0

Hmm, I think it's perfectly valid to argue that being able to determine which key is which is hardly a cosmetic problem. It's a bit like buying a book without any print in it. The book still works, you can turn the pages, what's the problem?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
indeed it does work, but they write the letters on the keyboard for a reason don't they? Is it cosmetic damage? I think it's a bit more than that. The Dell keyboards I use at work see far, far more use and never had this with them. I guess you do get what you pay for in this case. Anyone know where I can buy spare tabs for keyboards?0

What do you mean by a tab?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
the little block with the letter on - seems every keyboard has unique profile for these so you cant just swap one off another broken one unless its the exact same model0

Worth a look if you're looking for one or two.0 -

A set of little blocks will cost you more than the keyboard! Just get your fiver back for the rubbish Tesco one and buy a better quality one.
As an aside, I love the little blocks that you can pop off. I used to have hours of fun making my colleagues' keyboards say 'arse' and stuff."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
