Flight delayed by more than 3 hours, no compensation

If airlines had to pay compensation if there was a flight delay of more than 2 hours then clearly there would be a substantial price rise in airfares.
Most return charter flights I've been on had some delay, resulting in waiting around in a small foreign airport without enough seats in the departure "lounge" and without air conditioning. Just part of the holiday experience as was arriving back at Gatwick and having to wait on the aircraft while they found the vehicle with the steps so you could disembark. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

I have found this site very helpful in the past when dealing with airlines, and have been successful in every action I have taken to date using their template letters and asking questions on their forum http://www.flightmole.com/flight_delay.htm0
