Removing cork tiles off stone tiles

We have discovered a beautiful red tile lobby but the previous owners have covered it in cork tiles and when we remove the cork tiling the glue remains and we cannot get it off.
Anybody know of some good stuff that will help remove it please?

Yep I had a simliar problem with wood glued to tiles. After ripping off I used a heat gun on a low setting to get most of the gunk off then used a good quality paint stripper. Build up layers and scrape off gently. Do this a few times. I used a stripper that could be cleaned off with water and the results were very good.

Lots of elbow grease etc but worth the effort. Good luck.
