I made an order with Officers Club last week and as of yet still not received my order. I checked online and realised they went bust and Blue Inc had taken them over. The numbers on the officers club website and Blue inc website are no longer recognised. I also emailed them and have not received any replies. The money has come out of my account and now im worried I will not get my order. Can you help me on the next steps I should take please. Thanks Angie

@Angieames,
The fact that you have made the purchase online I take it that you have paid by either debit or credit card?
I hope that you are going to tell me that it was a CREDIT card because you are in a very good position. Under section 75 of the Customer Credit Act your credit card company will share responsibility for your loss. I have recently found myself in a similar situation where the company had gone bust, and more by luck I had paid by credit card, and was refunded.
Contact your card company and ask for the disputes section and tell them your story. Make copies of all e-mails that you have sent and received as the card company will need them. If the web site is till up and running make a copy of the page of the item/s that you purchased.
A call to Consumer Direct will be helpful before you contact the card company, they will explain your position.
Good luck.

What method did you use to pay and what was the total of the order?You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Only if the total purchase price was over £100 (even if less was paid on the card itself)
However, most Credit Cards may offer protection for purchases under £100 by using the Chargeback scheme.
Having said that - there is nothing to say that your order will not be fulfilled at this stage (no matter how unlikely that may be)“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

S75 of the CCA only covers purchases over £100.
However for purchases under that amount you may still be able to get a refund using the Visa/Mastercard chargeback. Visa has no limits, Mastercard has a £10 lower limit but no upper limit. However, chargeback is not a legal entitlement as S75 is (since S75 makes the card company jointly liable).You keep using that word. http://www.theofficersclub.co.uk/ is still active with no mention of going bust or a takeover0 -
They went into administration (again) in March 2011 and Blue Inc took over the name and some of the stores. There is nothing in the recent press to give any cause for concern.0

that would not surprise me as the person who bought them out of administration the last time was the CEO, who would have been responsible for them going into administration in the first place.0
