where do I stand, Company not took payment

Options
I took out Pet insurance in June and decided (as always) to pay the full year amount, instead of in installments. I pay using my cashback credit card and when I do this I transfer the amount to a separate bank account, so I know how much I have left to spend.

The company still haven't taken the payment. I haven't chased them up because they did the same last year and I did chase them up - 3 times before the finally charged me! And to be honest, its the last thing on my to-do list !!

I still have the money to pay, but I am wondering what will happen if they dont take the payment, will it make my insurance null and void, even when its their "over sight".

any thoughts appreciated

  • They could try and say it's null and void, so it might be worth contacting them via a traceable method - email with delivery / read receipt or recorded delivery letter. Just as a backup to prove that you've contact them regarding payment if you do need to claim and they say it's void.
