where do I stand, Company not took payment

I took out Pet insurance in June and decided (as always) to pay the full year amount, instead of in installments. I pay using my cashback credit card and when I do this I transfer the amount to a separate bank account, so I know how much I have left to spend.
The company still haven't taken the payment. I haven't chased them up because they did the same last year and I did chase them up - 3 times before the finally charged me! And to be honest, its the last thing on my to-do list !!
I still have the money to pay, but I am wondering what will happen if they dont take the payment, will it make my insurance null and void, even when its their "over sight".
any thoughts appreciated

They could try and say it's null and void, so it might be worth contacting them via a traceable method - email with delivery / read receipt or recorded delivery letter. Just as a backup to prove that you've contact them regarding payment if you do need to claim and they say it's void.0
