grr why is it the day i need to make a transfer to get the 50% off hampers at m and s it decideds to do essential maitenence during the !!!!!!! day ... im not being funny but at least natwest did it at night ..

Essential mainentance doesn't just mean 'fannying about that we could do at night'. If also means that something has f***ed up and needs to be fixed

Especially when:
A - banks don't just take systems down for general maintenance during the day
B - Halifax are having a few technical issues at the minute as well
