Care and repair

Apologies if this has been posted before...........

We are attending a retirement course at present (1 day per week over 3 weeks) and getting some really good information. One organisation we had not heard about before is "Care and Repair" who will help all over 60s and disabled persons who need stuff done in their homes. Do "google" it and read all about it.

Hi there! Sometimes the middle of the night is the only time I can get on the computer!
Are you the same "islandman" that has a static caravan? If so, how are you enjoying it?

Indeed I am and indeed I'm not!................we've sold it.

The purchase WAS to have encouraged us to take less holidays and to use it, however in the second year, we still had five holidays, so that theory went out of the window. Then new owners arrived and made subtle changes and we decided to opt out.

To round things off, we've been given two ducks (live) and they prevent us from staying out overnight anywhere now because of their needs.

I wondered why you had stopped posting on ukcs! Yes I heard there were a good few changes on your site. We still have our tourer, we are retiring in July and are off to Scandinavia for 3 months (in the van) to visit OH's family.
We hope to spend about 4-6 months each year away, really looking forward to it!
Good luck with the ducks! Our daughter is mad about ducks, she would love to own some.
