pressies for DDs friends boots vouchers and points
3 toys for DD2 from tesco double points
2 free photo bags from vistaprint
2 £30 soap and glory sets split into 6 presents
bag for aunt found in spare room
leather purse found under the stairs
3 loccitane sets found in loft in box
1 bottle of prossecco
blanket knitted for DS but too girlie for friends baby
no wrapping paper loads in loft, used old xmas baubles for tags - wrote on them with sharpies, didnt do cards

all giftd got about £30 cashbak on quidco and made £160 on ebay selling clothes last month

- i saved £100 on presents in the boots half price sale last year also using the 3 for 2 and getting points
- used my luncheon voucher to pay for wine for presents and biscuit making ingredients (also presents) so saved £18
- got some free plastic bags for my christmas biscuits off my stepmum
- saved £16.50 on my sons christmas present, it was half price and i used £4 of tesco vouchers
- wrapping paper from last year
- bags/bottle bags from last year or re used from last year
- 2 presents re used saving approx £20
- christmas dinner is booked at Aunties so saving a £20? maybe on christmas dinner for the 2 of us plus toddler
- boxing day booked at father in laws so again a food saving
- staff do i stayed over (company paid) so saved the petrol for hubby picking me up - at least £5
-Hubby declined his staff meal blaming my work commitments/lack of babysitter saving £60
- arranged to go to my friends for new year saving £50 having friends over for drinks/nibbles
- Save £8 on my dads present as it was on offer

Dont think i've done too badly there,:T although our bank balance doesnt show it due to the stupid car breaking not once but twice in the last 2 months.:(

First time I've replied to a thread. Can I just say many thanks. My husband resigned from his job in June and of course he has not been able to sign on but we thought his health was more important than money. I have been really upset because I've been using some of my vouchers I've received for doing surveys for either Christmas presents or to buy Christmas presents and with reading all your comments realise how silly it was my husband had already said the same. I didn't have a problem buying things at a discount or in sales. So merry Christmas to you all & a big THANK YOU for cheering me up

I converted my Tesco points to beautyexpert.co.uk vouchers and got some posh make-up/toiletries for my mum and friend.

My cards and paper were all from last year's sales (massive rolls of wrapping paper from Boots that I got for 10p a roll!).

I am also regifting some unwanted pressies. Don't worry, they are all really nice things (but not to my taste) that I know the recipient will like.

I managed to collect £125 in Morrisons vouchers. This was during their promotion in which customers who spent £40+ a week collected their receipts for 6 weeks and received a £25 voucher.

As there are 8 of us in our house my shopping is usually around £200 a week. By paying for my shopping in £40 lots I was able to collect 5 receipts a week.

Customers are only supposed to have one voucher per household but I didn't see why I shouldn't take full advantage of the offer after spending the amount that we do every week and never had a problem at the checkouts.

Anyhow this means we got the turkey, all sweets, crackers,a few gifts and a bit of grocery shopping completely FREE :D:D.

I perhaps should also add that I also have a discount card for Morrisons which saves me another £20 a week :j.

I have made most of the presents for this year (knitted!).
and have used wrapping paper from last year, same goes for the cards.

£1 Tesco voucher went towards some retro sweets as part of a hamper
Lots of presents bought whilst they were on offer (eg Terry's Choc Orange £1 @Asda)
Aftershave on promotion at Superdrug, free delivery and £5 off code
Some small presents paid for with survey money/Amazon vouchers
Cashback claimed where possible

Forgot to add - my mum and dad have pruned a leylandi (sp) tree from their garden and made a cutting into a free Christmas tree

I never spend on tags - just make them from cards I've received in previous years.
Used some of my Boots points (have loads) for pressies

My mum hasn't bought wrapping paper for years - she just re-cycles from previous years. Nobody notices or even cares.
