Expat Returning to UK. Whats best to decide Energy company??

Hi
We are returning to the UK to live after after lived in the UAE for a few years. We have no figures for usage of electricity in the house and therefore dont really know what or who is best to appraoch as our energy supplier. What would be the best way to tackle this so we get a value for money supplier?
Thanks

The house will have an existing Utility supplier/s when you move in, to whom you are contracted the instant you sign the lease or purchase contract, and you must register your occupation date and meter readings with them the day you move in

You are then free to look at Switching to other suppliers for better deals, but to do this you need to know what your annual consumption of Gas & Elec Kwh will be, but this isn't quite Catch 22 as you can ask the existing supplier what those figures were for the previous owner/tenant, and use those for your Switch site searches

If the existing supplier doesn't want to provide you with the details, if you go onto a comparison site then some of them will provide you with an estimate of your useage based on size of property, number of occupants etc. This of course is only an estimate, but it's better than nothing for a start.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
