Ebay/Vero?

I'm competely stumped by what ebay have done.

I listed an item on ebay (baby reading system), it sold two weeks ago. I posted on the same day as payment, buyer received next day and left glowing feedback. I thought that was that.

I reeived a message from ebay yesterday to say that my (finished) listing has been removed due to a trademark breach, the company has been in touch about my listing apparantly.

The item is genuine, the buyer is happy but I have no way to prove the item is genuine because the buyer has it. Ebay said they have also emailed the buyer. This is very bad news.

I'm an honest seller with 100% good feedback, if I had any doubt that the item was fake then I would have binned it.

I know that some companies don't like their goods being sold on ebay, is it possible that this company is one of them? I don't really know what to do from here, I am mortified.

    the message from ebay:

Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. The rights owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner, **************, notified eBay that this listing breaches intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of this type of breach, we remove the listing to comply with the law.
Questions about the specific violation should be addressed to **************, LLC
You can send an email to: antipiracy@.com

For more information on how eBay protects Intellectual Property, please visit the following Help page:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tp/programs-vero-ov.html

Unfortunately, the following item(s) breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site.

Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified.

Why did we remove your listing?

Your item was reported by the rights owner for infringing their copyright or trademark.

It's against the law to sell fake or unauthorised copies of a brand-name product. It can also be misleading for buyers. So if the product you're selling bears the brand name or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or authorised by that company, you aren't allowed to list it on eBay.

I'd just be careful of listing any branded items in the future, as if it happens again it could affect your account standing.
If your buyer has the item, is happy with it and has not been refunded by Ebay I would advise that you leave it there.

vero - can be abused by the owner.

eg. the item may be genuine and they may even know it is. However they may still want/prefer it to be pulled from ebay.

Authorized dealer situations are a classic example. Just because its vero'ed under counterfeit does not mean thats why its pulled.

Do you not have the original receipt, or some way of proving the purchase?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It's put me off altogether, I think I will stick to using it to buy. I only sell a few items a year. I will take your advice though, thanks.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. I googled the company and they only officially seem to sell through their own website.

No, I bought the item preowned.

I've had a listing pulled by Gumtree- a set of Edwardian fruit knives . I was told I could not sell knives and even if I could I couldn't sell these as they had bone handles.

In my previous employment I had an item pulled even though we were approved resellers for the brand.
It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type
