Hello,
I have bought an expensive Apple Macbook Pro and I haven't even taken it out of the box as I can't find an insurance policy which will cover the requirements I have stated bellow;
Accidental damage, spills, drops, scratches to the screen
Lost
Theft with or without forced entry, walk in theft in property or abroad and if not with the laptop ie: left it at a friends house, whilst out.
World cover up to 31days abroad
24hr support, will have 24 hrs to make a claim and to report it to police/insurance.
Will cover items up to £1000
New for old replacement policy
Must cover laptop even if its 2 years old.
Should cover internal board and all parts of the laptop,
and programs saved on it. Adobe Creative Suit.
Excess fee not above £50
Will it include mobile cover £200 I have an HTC wildfire S which cost me in May £250.
I don't want Home insurance as I don't own a house I just share a property and will be moving soon, so all I would need is content insurance for the things in my room.
Could you please let me know if you have an insurance which will cover all of the policies I have mentioned above?
Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.
Regards

The cost of the policy you want would be greater than the replacement cost of the laptop!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

not surprised nobody will insure you, from your list of demands it sounds like you're going to make sure you'll make a claim on it.0

And no doubt ony want to pay £50 max premium! You are going to have to be realistic - insurance is to cover the unexpected and insurers expect individuals to take reasonable precautions to stop things such as theft. Are you a student because if you are Endsleigh offer a policy that gives quite good cover, although you will have to see what it says about all of the items you have mentioned.
If not, you will have to lower your sights and get a policy that provides some of what you are looking for. Entirely up to you - you have to take some risk and weigh up the cost of the laptop against the cover you can get.0 -
Protect my bubble.com will cover only those items you want to insure. A home contents policy is specifically engineered for the home and thus would be unsuitable (and expensive), though i'm with M&S Insurance (consistently the cheapest for both car and home, for us), they have a "valued item" section in which you can specify a single expensive item. Whereas in your case, it would be tech gear. My stereo is insured for about £9k.0

Unless your laptop is faulty, or you bought it online and received it within the last 7 days, you will have absolutely no rights to return it, you will be dependant upon the shop or websites good will or that they have a no quibble money back policy.0

Apple have a 14 day no questions asked returns policy for anything bought from their online and high street stores, even if it is used.
To the OP - you wont get what you want, particularly with theft cover in shared property without needing signs of forced/ violent entry. Even home insurance wouldnt give you that (or a 24hr claims line) as its too easy for one of your flatmates or mates of your flatmates to steal (aka borrow) it0 -
Why not just look after it.0
