Help please! I turned my back for a minute and found one of my cats just had a lick of wallpaper paste, I'm worried as it obviously shouldn't be eaten.. is there anything I should do right away? Or should I just keep an eye on him for now?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

if it has eaten it you need to make it sick (i know it sounds cruel ) but we had a dog that ate everything stones keys etc and the vets suggested soap crystals unfortunatly dogs are dumber than cats so tha may be difficult
is there an emergency out of hours vet you can ringReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. Thanks for your quick reply, how do I make him sick? I think it was only a little bit and he seems ok, he has had some water to drink..
I can phone the vets if it's an emergency but I don't like to if it's not essential.. our vets is an old couple and last time I thought it was an emergency it actually wasn't and I felt pretty bad! But ovbiously if it is an emergency my cats health is the most important thing0 -

apprently The most common cause of fungicide poisoning is from wallpaper paste! So take care, when decorating.
from ww.k9dogs.co.uk/Medical.htm though its about dogs
heres one about cats http://www.merrydancercats.co.uk/plants_poisonous_to_cats.htmReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. I would ring the emergency vet, I did that before when our dogs ate tic-tacs and they were very helpful. They should be able to tell you whether or not the cat needs bringing in. See if your vet has an out of hours service by calling them or call Vets Now.0

I think you'd be best to not panic, and call your vet
A phone call costs very little and they will (usually) not make you come in and pay a consultation fee unless it's really necessary
Don't worry too much, I'm sure they taste much worse when they're out and about my themselves
I'm new to this board, so I haven't got a "feel" for it yet.....so I hope this is taken the right way.....my first thought was something along the lines of "well the tongue of a cat is nice and small so use him to do the fiddly bits and borders." Ahem.0 -
i wouldn't suggest licking it to see what it tastes like but ask the cat
